Hey girl, hey! Today we are making this adorable “Witch Please” broom for our Halloween decor! It’s easy and can be displayed standing by the fireplace, or in a cauldron with a “Broom Parking” sign! How fun is that?
Check out the video below for all the fun, or just follow along here for the steps to make your own.

Supplies:

Dollar Tree: Two small straw scarecrow brooms
Hobby Lobby: Grass table skirt
Milton’s Daughter: IOD Letterpress stamps
Stash: Spindle (for the broom handle), muslin tag, black and white twine
Walmart: Waverly Antique Wax
Let’s make it!
I have two scarecrow brooms that I’m using to make the inside center of the broom. The straw is sturdy, so it will help the broom to stand.

I spritzed the wood with water, then painted on a bit of (watered down) Waverly Antique Wax, then dried it with my heat tool.
Next, I pulled the decorations from the little brooms. They are just hanging on with hot glue, so it was easy to remove them.
To fill out the broom, I just used lengths of raffia, folded them in half and then tied the top with twine.
The stalks from the scarecrows were too tall so I trimmed them just above where they are tied at the top.

I used hot glue to hold everything together at the top of the broom stalks, then put my broom handle in the middle, followed by more hot glue. I had to hold it together while it dried, because it took a lot of glue.
Next, I wrapped twine around the top of the straw and tied knots to keep it secure, then wrapped more twine around it. I also added black and white twine, and then my “Witch please” tag. I hot glued the tag in place after I tied it on.
I also found my Halloween pumpkin glasses from Dollar Tree. It’s getting crazy up in here!

Y’all, when it comes to bow making, I’m always on the struggle bus. But I think this one turned out cute! I just cut some ribbons and raffia and laid them in an X pattern, then tied them together with raffia.
Next, I hot glued the bow onto the broom, and we have finished this project!

But before we go, here’s some of the fun we have during the video!

The finished project!
