Hey girl, hey! I found this watering can at the Goodwill Bins and she was just begging for me to take her home and give her a makeover. I didn’t want to disappoint, so she found her way to my craft room and here’s what happened!

Check out the video for the fun or follow along here!
Supplies:

Milton’s Daughter: Debi’s Design Diary DIY Paint: Mint Chip, Iron Orchid Designs (IOD) “Catharina” transfers from the new 2025 IOD collection.
Goodwill Outlet Bins: Metal watering can
Amazon: Sanding sponge Click here to check out my crafting essentials (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.)
Let’s make it!
I started out by watering down some of the Mint Chip from Debi’s Design Diary DIY Paint, as I just want a wash over the existing finish. I used two coats and left the inside as it was. I dried it with my heat tool and touched up some areas with the paint, then sanded it a bit.
I’ll use Minwax Polycrylic spray to seal it.

These IOD transfers are so great to work with, y’all! You can put them on almost anything! Beautiful images just rub right on to your project with the little tool that is included. The image has a grid over it that peels off as you rub the transfer from it, and that grid helps to get the right placement!
I peeled off the back paper (it is white), exposing the rub on (now clear grid paper. The grid paper has the design on it and is also slightly sticky so the image will stay where you want it while applying.
To begin, I just rubbed two images on and she’s already beautiful!

I cut some of the images to fit them a certain way, then added flowers and words from the same IOD Catharina collection that is where the bird came from. And we are just covering the outside with absolutely beautiful artistry!

And here she is! I love how easy it was to get such a beautiful result! Click on the link and let me know in the comments which your favorite IOD Transfer set is. I appreciate your comments!
