Let’s make it!
But before we get started, did y’all know we have a giveaway with each Woodshop release? We sure do! Here’s just an idea of all the things in this August release! Each purchase in the first week of the release gets a name in the bucket for a drawing!

We are going to start with the Trick or Treat sign. I painted the base white, then sanded it a little. I used my Xacto knife to bring back the etched lines on the surface.

I always put small things on tape to hold them for painting.
TIP: GENTLY remove items from the tape to keep them from breaking.

I painted the frame and base pieces with watered down Waverly Antique Wax. Just a spritz of water in the lid will do it!
There are two base pieces. They stack together, so you only need to paint the top one.

I glued the words and the bat on with DAP Rapid Fuse, then used my Posca paint pens to paint the outer edge black.
I glued the base pieces together, but I didn’t glue the sign into the base so I can disassemble and put it up after Halloween.

Now let’s make the Jar of Sunflowers!
I painted the pieces with Deco Earth reclaimed acrylic paint. Dandelion for the sunflowers, Coastal Blue for the jar and then Waverly Antique Wax for the flower centers.

I painted the bow with Deco Earth “Blue”, then offset the flowers and glued everything on with DAP. You can use clothespins to keep pieces in place while the glue dries.
I used my Posca Paint Pens to add highlights to the jar. There are lines etched in the wood to follow for highlighting.

And now we have two new cuties for our fall and Halloween decor!

I hope you enjoyed this craft! Let me know in the comments how you might finish yours. I appreciate each and every one of you!
Thanks for stopping by,
XOXO-Erin
