Tart Pan Christmas Bells and Angels

Hey y’all, hey! I’m so excited about Christmas crafting this year! I’m also enjoying having the soft lights of my Christmas village and yes, even my tree(s), glowing in the EARLY darkness due to the time change. I haven’t struggled as badly this year with Daylight Savings because I really look forward to my Christmas lights at night!

Today we are crafting with little tart pans. I’m planning on hanging them on my garland over the fireplace. You can find the pans while thrifting, or on Amazon (linked below), and I’ve also seen them in the kitchen section at HomeGoods. Check out the video for lots of ideas and techniques, or follow along here on the blog!

Supplies:

Amazon: tart pans, beads, bells, twine, DAP Rapid Fuse (or Gorilla super glue) Click here to check out my crafting essentials (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.)

Walmart: Waverly Antique Wax

Let’s make it!

Y’all, tart pans come in different sizes. Even though they may “look” the same, some are deeper and some are wider. You can use the varied sizes to make these projects. The one nearest in the photo is deeper than the other one.

TIP: You may want to go ahead and paint your pieces before putting them together.

I hot glued the bead on, but decided later to use super glue. Do NOT use both together! The hot glue activates some harsh chemicals in the super glue, so don’t use both.

I just stacked them with a bead in between. I eventually changed the tart pan on top to match the rest.

Here’s where I decided that you may want to paint yours before assembling. You can paint them any color, but I wanted a rustic look, so I used Waverly Antique Stain and then rubbed it off. It settled nicely into the grooves.

I’m thinking about the size of the bell. It may be a little small!

You can try to string them together if you’d like. Some of the pans are thicker than others, but my Xacto knife did go through this one. The Xacto didn’t work on my smaller ones, but you can use a drill.

Once I put them together, I saw an angel! I painted a wooden snowflake with Mod Podge, then covered it with Epsom Salt so the “wings” would have some shimmer. I then cut it in half, and y’all, our bell has become an angel!

I hope you all enjoyed this craft! I sure did! Let me know in the comments how you might use tart pans for crafting!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

XOXO-Erin
