Let’s make it!
I painted the words with Debi’s Design Diary White Swan and the base with Hey Sailor (navy blue), then dry brushed it with White Swan.
Next, I sanded it just enough to bring out some of the wood.
TIP: If you’re painting small things like little letters or shapes, just use painters tape (or similar) with the sticky side up and stick them on it to make it easier while painting.

I painted my sunflower petals with White Swan, then put Mod Podge, also on just the petals. I separated a napkin and covered the petals, then sanded the napkin from the edges. I used my Xacto knife to remove the napkin from between the petals.
TIP: Napkins are thin once you separate the layers, that’s why I paint the wood before applying them.

I decided to put dots on my background, and our friend Ms. Theresa sent me some Sharpie Creative Markers. I actually like them better than the Posca markers.
Here are the Sharpie markers:

The base is engraved so you know exactly where to place your pieces. It’s kinda like a super easy puzzle!
I used my DAP Rapid Fuse glue to adhere all the wood pieces. That brown center of the flower is just as it comes in the kit. I added rope around the edge, and we’re done!

I hope you enjoyed this craft! I sure did!

Let me know in the comments how you might finish yours! I appreciate all of your comments.
Thanks so much for stopping by,
XOXO-Erin
