S’more Christmas Snowman Ornaments From The Lizzy And Erin Woodshop!

Hey y’all, hey! How stinkin’ cute are these S’more Snowmen? They are perfect for your Christmas decor, and you can also use them on your tiered tray (as our friend Cathy suggested) or give them as gifts. How about ornaments and tags for those bigger gifts under the tree? Click here for the link to see them in our Woodshop. Click HERE to see the entire July 2024 release!

Watch our video below, or just follow along here for the steps to create them.

Supplies:

Lizzy and Erin Woodshop: S’more Christmas snowmen (Click HERE to see the full July 2024 release!)

Amazon: Deco Earth paints, DAP Rapid Fuse glue, Posca Paint Pens Click here to check out my crafting essentials (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.)

Walmart: Waverly Antique Wax

Stash: Bakers twine, black and white ribbon

Let’s make it!

I started out by placing all of the snowflakes on tape so I could paint them. (Using a strip of tape makes it so much easier!)

Next, I painted the snowman bases white, and dried them with my heat tool. There is an etching on the wood so you can still see where to place the pieces once everything is painted.

TIP: Be sure to paint the edges!

I painted the heart red, the noses orange, and the buttons and “drippy” parts black, all on the tape like the snowflakes, so they were easier to paint.

I also used my Waverly Antique Stain on the tag, arms and those long pieces that are the graham crackers, then dried them with my heat tool. (Note: I decided later to just leave the arms and graham cracker pieces unpainted. They look more natural that way.)

Next, I used my black Posca Paint Pen to draw the eyes and mouths on the snowmen. The lines are etched onto the wood, so you don’t have to be an artist to get great results! If you make a mistake, just paint over it with the white, and go again!

I sanded the edges of some of the pieces just a little, then dry fit them to be sure where they go before I glue them on.

I used pink for the cheeks, then dry brushed white over the pink to tone it down. I also dry brushed white onto the edges of the black “drippy” pieces.

Assembling them is so easy, and I used DAP Rapid Fuse to put everything together. Super glues dry thinner than hot glue, so there is little (if any) bulk. I used clothespins to hold everything in place while the glue dried.

I attached a bit of ribbon for the scarf, then the tag, then I added a little baker’s twine bow on top of the tag. I also used the twine to make the hanger.

TIP: It does matter which snowman gets which “drips” so they fit just right. They are a little different.

And here they are! Adorable!

Let me know in the comments where you would use your S’more Christmas snowmen! I appreciate y’all so much!

Thanks for stopping by,

XOXO-Erin
