Salt And Pepper Shaker Tassel

Hey y’all, hey! This is a quick and easy craft that is so much fun. I learned it at my friend Amy’s crafting event in Tennessee. You can make these for all seasons! I like to hang mine on the lamp switches, but you can also hang them from your curtain tiebacks or use them as decor on gifts… the sky’s the limit, girl!

Check out the video below or follow along here on the blog for all the steps to make your own!

Supplies:

Amazon: Black wood beads Click here to check out my crafting essentials (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.)

Ross: Salt and pepper shakers ($4.99) You can also find them at Cracker Barrel

Stash: Wire, ribbons, lace, fabric strips (most of the fabric is from Dollar Tree)

Let’s make it!

Before we get started, you can see that my dog Bear is supervising the back porch crafting session. Clearly he has nodded off, so I guess it’s nap time. He must be exhausted from howling at the fire trucks that went by earlier.

I chose one of the two shakers to create my tassel, and removed the stopper from the bottom. I laid out my strips of fabric and lace until I had a thick pile.

TIP: Cracker Barrel has a great selection of salt and pepper shakers and you can shop online.

I cut a long length of wire and twisted it around the center of the fabric pile, keeping the wire ends even, then threaded the wire through the holes of the shaker.

I added three beads to the top and twisted the wire over them. I tied the wire to make a space for the hanger.

TIP: Note where the holes are on your shakers and how they might hang once the wire is attached.

I trimmed the ends of the fabric and lace, and we have a super cute decoration! Super cute and easy!

Have you tried this craft? Let me know in the comments which shakers you used! I appreciate each and every one of you.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

XOXO-Erin
