Hey girl, hey! Y’all. I have a disclaimer. There are THREE videos for this project. No, it didn’t take me a week to make it, it was just the Internet and issues with connecting! Check them out for the fun, or just follow along here on the blog! We’ll get there, girl.

Thank you, Internet, for three videos!
Supplies:

Hobby Lobby: Deco Art Chalkboard paint
Lowes or Home Depot: Wood stakes / fence pickets
Amazon: Sanding sponge Click here to check out my crafting essentials (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.)
Milton’s Daughter: IOD Letterpress stamps
Dollar Tree: White fabric, mop strips
Stash: Muslin, bendable wire
Let’s make it!
Y’all, I hot glued the wood pieces together. You can use wood glue or you can staple it (see next image), but I just hot glued mine. (Spoiler alert: staple the pieces together!)
Next, I spritzed the wood with water, then painted it with Deco Art Chalkboard paint.

That whole stapling situation: Our friend Ms. Tammy suggested staples. I’m like, girl, I didn’t even think about that! So I stapled it anyway, just for extra security.
Next, I sanded it enough to bring back some of the wood for a rustic look.

I made little squares from burlap and muslin to use as a banner. The letters are Letterpress from IOD stamps at Milton’s Daughter

I used wire to make the form for the ghost. I didn’t really need the head shape, so the wire is more for the “wings” or arms.
I hot glued a strip of white fabric onto the wire for the base of my ghost.

I stapled the wire form to the surface, then hot glued strips of fabric to make the body.

To make the “wings” or arms, I just used a half circle of fabric and glued it at the edge, closest to the ghost. Then I folded it over and glued it closed.

I just kept added strips until the ghost was fluffy and full, and I trimmed the edges. I added the “BOO” to the top, like a banner.

Here he is so far. Y’all, I think I should have used longer pieces from the head down, but it’s ok. If y’all make one, just do long strips throughout.

Next, I glued on the eyes that I cut from felt, and our friends suggested he hold a lantern. Great idea! I stapled the lantern on and bent the arms in. I think it kicked this project up a few notches! (The lantern is lit, y’all!)
TIP: Drill holes above the “B” and the last “O”, and run a piece of wire through for a hanger. Curl the edges of the wire with a pencil or paint brush.

I hope you enjoyed this craft! It sure was fun to make! Let me know in the comments what your ghost might hold: a pumpkin? A black cat? I appreciate each and every comment!
Thanks so much for stopping by,
XOXO-Erin
