Ornaments From Our October 2024 Woodshop Release!

Hey y’all, hey! Our October release is full of great pieces that you can use for your Christmas or winter decor, including a variety of ornaments and even a sleigh with standing reindeer! Click HERE to see the entire October release!

I’m crafting with three ornaments today that include the two faith ornaments and a snowman. Check out the video below or follow along here to see how you might paint yours!

Supplies:

Lizzy and Erin Woodshop: Faith Ornament Duo and Chunky Snowman

Milton’s Daughter: Debi’s Design Diary DIY paint: White Swan

Amazon: Posca paint pens, Sharpie creative markers, Rapid Fuse glue, Xacto knife, gold leaf, Mod Podge Click here to check out my crafting essentials (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.)

I started out by painting the bases with White Swan, then dried them with my heat tool.

I used my Xacto knife to scrape out some of the paint on the engraved words “Amazing Grace”, then just used a pen to write over the words. (I used the Xacto knife to remove paint from the stars in the nativity ornament also.)

I also painted the outer edge brown.

TIP: water down a bit of the paint so it is thinner and doesn’t clog the engraving.

I used Mod Podge and then gold foil papers to add gold to the nativity ornaments. I also went around the outside of the nativity ornament with gold foil.

I used my Posca and Sharpie paint pens for the snowman. I suggest painting the mouth on before you add the carrot nose.

But y’all, my son Jeremiah painted the eyes (over the pink cheeks!) while I glued the pieces of the other ornaments together. We are just showing you how NOT to paint the eyes! LOL!

(I had him sign and date it so we will remember this every year when we take the snowman out to hang it on the tree!)

I’ll post a better snowman later, y’all! But here are our finished projects!

Let me know in the comments which is your favorite: the snowman or the faith ornaments! Of course, the snowman’s eyes don’t count this time!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

XOXO-Erin
