Hey y’all, hey! I can’t believe this launch from the Lizzy and Erin Woodshop! We have a whole military collection for Veterans Day, a Christmas village with FIVE shops, Christmas trees, lamp posts and we also have gingerbread houses! Today we are crafting with THREE pieces of the Christmas village. Click HERE to see them all, and follow along on the video or here on the blog for today’s projects.

Join the Lizzy and Erin Woodshop launch every month during the first week and enjoy our gift aways!

Supplies:

Lizzy and Erin Woodshop: Christmas Village Shops Hardware Store, Toy Shop and Village Cafe

Milton’s Daughter: Debi’s Design Diary DIY paint: White Swan, Gypsy Green

Amazon: Parchment Paper, DAP Rapid Fuse glue, Posca Paint Pens, Waverly Antique Wax, Apple Barrel white, sanding sponge, makeup sponges Click here to check out my crafting essentials (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.)

Dollar Tree: Battery operated lights

Let’s make it!

I made these all at the same time. I started with white for the backgrounds. I mixed some White Swan from Debi’s Design Diary and Milton’s Daughter with white from Apple Barrel and I used makeup sponges to apply the paint.

I stained the trim and the bases with Waverly Antique Wax, having added just a little black to the Waverly to darken it just a smidge. I used my red Posca Paint Pen for the bows, and Gypsy Green for the trees and swags. I used the paint pen to add red dots to the wreaths.

TIP: Put small pieces on tape to make painting easier!

I smoothed the bases down with my sanding sponge and placed the pieces down before gluing, just to see where everything goes. There are score marks in the wood for placing the pieces.

TIP: Keep all the little pieces on the tape until ready to glue them on.

Toy Store:

Cafe:

Hardware Store: (I used swags from the Cafe)

I used DAP Rapid Fuse glue but I prefer the thick version of Stick Fast glue for my wood pieces.

I decided to try out putting lights on one of the shops, so I used a string of little lights and parchment paper. I cut a piece of parchment paper to fit the hardware store, and glued it on the back with hot glue. I used Scotch tape to tape the string of lights to the paper.

The paper gives them a soft glow, and I am loving it!
