Hey y’all, hey! We are in the middle of our November 2025 Lizzy and Erin Woodshop launch, and we are having so much fun with great designs from our Woodshop, with sweet techniques and decor ideas just in time for the holidays. AND we are celebrating seven whole years of Lizzy and Erin, so you’ll see our balloons in the background. We love a party up in here!
Today we are making the Light-Up Snow Globe House. This whimsical gingerbread house is just adorable! Check out the video below or follow along here on the blog for all the steps. And don’t miss our giveaways during our monthly launches with a BIG giveaway on Monday!

Before we get started on our Snow Globe House, here are two kits I finished last night! I love how they turned out. Make these as a gift or for your own home!! There’s the Christmas Barn Quilt Ornament Craft Kit 4 Pack and the Simple Manger Shelf Sitter. Just click on the images or the links to see them in the Woodshop.
Let’s make it!
I ordered magnets from Amazon (there are 120 for just $9) and glued them onto my project. You’ll want to use magnets, Velcro or something similar to attach the front to the back so you can change out your lights if needed.

I used Carnation Pink from Deco Earth paint to paint my base and White Swan from Debi’s Design Diary and Milton’s Daughter to paint the white pieces. Also Moss Green from Deco Earth for the trees, a red Posca Paint pen for the heart and peppermints and Ranger Distress Oxide Ground Espresso ink for the little doorknob, and my Toolie Art paint pen for the tree stumps and planter boxes. Use what you’ve got, girl!
I mixed a light and medium brown to make a gingerbread color for the house and base, and dried it with my heat tool.
TIP: Use masking or painters tape to hold the small pieces for painting.

I wet a makeup sponge and went around the pink edges with red. I’ll glue the pieces on, then sand and dry brush next.

Time to glue, sand and dry brush! I think dry brushing might be better before you glue, but that ship has sailed, y’all!

I hot glued the battery pack to the back / outside of the snow globe and I just used painters tape to tape the lights to the inside, but you can use Scotch tape or masking tape. Make sure you don’t have any dried paint clogging up the holes, but if you do, an Xacto knife, toothpick or something similar will take care of it.

Here’s the Light Up Snow Globe Church from Monday’s craft that also features lights! Click on the image to see it in the Lizzy and Erin Woodshop. See the blog and video HERE.

And here she is all lit up! She’s a pretty girl!
