Let’s make it!

But before we get started, I painted this just before we went live! It’s the Ranch Bench Set that goes with our Interchangeable Bench.

I painted the combs and watttles for the chickens and the base for the barn with Marquee (red) from Debi’s Design Diary. I also used Marquee, blue and yellow for the framed quilt pieces.

I used White Swan for the barn door and barn accents, gray for the background of the quilt, the roof line and the hay gable. The chickens are also white and yellow, with black glasses and blue stars. I used a brown Posca paint pen for the chicken legs and eyes, a white one for the zig zags on one chicken, then dried everything with my heat tool.

I sanded the pieces just a little, and used my Xacto knife to clean out the paint that settled into the fine details, and dry brushed white over the pieces.

A few touches here and there, gluing with Stick Fast glue, painting little squiggles, and we have the cutest chicken display!

Let me know in the comments what you think of our chickens! I appreciate each and every one of you!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

XOXO-Erin
