Let’s make the Spindle Flag!
I prepared part of each piece before my live video since we have several to craft today! It’s hard to pick just one, y’all!
I started out by painting all of the blue (Deco Earth Maritime Blue) and white (Waverly) pieces beforehand. On the live video, I painted the spindles on the flag with Deco Earth Red Maple, and dried them with my heat tool. I laid the spindles on the surface and then glued the frame, which I had already stained with Waverly Antique Wax. Once the frame was on, I added the spindles. Each of these that have engraved details to show you where to place the pieces.

TIP: Place parts like the spindles and letters or numbers on the sticky side of masking tape to make it easier to paint!
Now let’s make the USA Fence Board Sign!
This is a kit made to go onto fence boards, which are not included. It comes with the stars, letters and stripes. The lumber stores usually offer the service where they will cut boards to the length you want. Ours are five feet long.
I prepared early by painting the red and blue pieces with Deco Earth paints (Maritime Blue and Red Maple), then I painted the “USA” letters with Waverly White on the live video. You could stain yours or paint them, either way it’s going to look great!
I plan to put a bow on top later. I stapled shims down the back to hold the two pieces together. Next, I painted the letters and glued them to the stars with Stick Fast glue.
I used staples to attach the pieces to the board but I didn’t love them showing. Just don’t use hot glue if your board is going to be kept outside. Hot glue reacts to heat and cold.
TIP: Use wood glue or E6000 to adhere pieces that will be outside.
TIP: Deco Earth paints are great for getting a dark stain. It’s particularly good with painting wood beads.

Let’s make the interchangeables!
These fit in the Toolbox kit. Mine is unfinished, but it can be stained, painted or maybe even use Mod Podge to cover it with fabric or paper. Whatever you prefer to do, you’ll enjoy it year round!
Be sure to check out all of the interchangeable projects HERE. We have several to choose from!

I had already painted all of the pieces in the same red, white and blue as the projects above, so all I had to do was glue the details on. It’s so easy with the etched background! It’s like a puzzle!

Here are our finished projects! Let me know in the comments which one(s) are your favorites! I appreciate each and every one of you.

Thanks so much for stopping by,
XOXO-Erin
