Let’s make it!
This Interchangeable Window Base has platforms at the bottom so you can change your decor whenever you wish. I painted it in advance of my video so we could spend more time (and fun!) on the spring pieces.

I used a makeup sponge to paint the words white and Folk Art Home Decor Vintage Teal paint for the bird house and flower pot. I used paint pens (light pink, yellow and periwinkle) for the flowers and butterfly.
TIP: Put small pieces on the sticky side of painters tape to keep them in place while painting. And by the way, I’m not a huge fan of the consistency of the Folk Art Home Decor paint.
FYI: I use a variety of paint markers for different purposes: Toolie Art Pens have more colors, and I like tthe quality of the Sharpie Creative Markers.

I put a coat of Waverly Antique Wax on all the parts you see that are brown, and glued the pieces on with Stick Fast (thick) glue. I added dots and highlights with a Tzarrot white paint marker.
TIP: Be sure to paint the edges. Also, the wood is embossed so you’ll know where to put the pieces.

I glued the window pieces together and I think I’m going to add lace for curtains, fabric, vellum, acetate or scrapbook paper to the back side. The top piece is kind of a cream color and the back piece is white. The base pieces are Waverly brown.

XOXO-Erin
