Lizzy and Erin Woodshop: 3 Panel Folding Spring Sign, Floral Picture Pair, Hello Spring Tulip Round
Since this is such a BIG release, I’ve prepared some of the projects in advance of the live video. I’ve painted most of the feature elements in a variety of spring colors: yellow, purple, pinks and greens!
I used two coats of Waverly White Wax for the background of the 3 Panel Folding Spring Sign and dried it with my heat tool, then sanded it a bit. I painted the frames with Waverly Antique Wax, dried them and then toned them down by dry brushing white over the brown. I used my black paint pen to darken the edges, then began gluing everything together.

I used my Xacto knife to define the lines in the bases, and DAP Rapid Fuse glue to adhere the pieces together. I glued the frame on, then slid the eyes onto the inside edge of the frame. This is where the hooks will go in.
I finished gluing all of the elements on, and it’s finished!
TIP: Use clothespins to hold your frame to the base while the glue sets.

Do y’all remember the bunny tri-fold we did last month? Here it is with today’s Spring sign! I just love these!
Note: those hooks are supposed to go down into the eyelets. The bunny one is backwards, but it’s ok y’all, it’s all ok!

I really like the natural look of the Floral Picture Pair, so all I did was use Waverly Antique Wax, some black paint to darken the frame, and white for the background. I just glued the unpainted flowers on, and I’m loving it just as it is! There is an engraving on the wood to place the elements, so it’s a super easy project!
I think I’ll put them in my camper, they should match my boho theme really well! Later on I’m going to make a hidden hanger, probably with twine.

For the Hello Spring Tulip Round, I prepared the craft by painting the elements. I mixed Deco Earth Chestnut and Apricot Blush paint for the terra cotta pot, a bit of stain, gray and white for the birdhouse, purple for the tulips and green for the leaves. I painted the background with two coats of white, then dried it with my heat tool and sanded it just a little.
I painted the words with my POSCA black paint pen. (I stuck them onto masking tape to make them easier to paint.) Then I dried them with my heat tool.

I did a lighter pink on the top layer of the flowers and a darker pink on the bottom layer. I glued them together and pinned them with clothespins. I originally painted the bow with Waverly Antique Wax but went back over them with a dry brush white.
I glued the letters on, placing them along the etching marks, then added the leaves and birdhouse.
She’s so pretty!

And here are all the beautiful crafts we made today!
