Let’s Start a DIY Christmas Village!

Hey girl, hey! I love this craft so much that I’m already planning to make more! Follow along here on the blog or join in the fun on the video below. (If you watch the video, you’ll get a ton more ideas). I definitely kicked this up from my original plan at least ten notches because the inspiration kept coming. Get the whole family involved in this one!

More ideas here on the video:

The first one finished:

Supplies:

Hobby Lobby: Jars (watch for sales), little ornaments and tiny things

Thrifted: Jars

Dollar Tree: Jars, ornaments

Epsom Salt

Costco: Philips LED motion lights (they have a timer and have several lighting choices)

Let’s make it!

This is so much fun, y’all! Just look around your stash for things to use. You probably have some little somethings that would work great for this project.

I made this shelf with craft sticks. I’ll use it in the candy store part of the village!

I found these lights at Costco. They are just right for the village jars! I just put one strand inside the jar (the lights have a timer), then poured my Epsom Salt over them.

Then I simply placed the house and other items inside the jar! I thought also about stringing some of the lights around the tree, and I might do that later.

I added a tiny wreath on the house, and it fit perfectly!

I’ll be placing some of my jars on risers and I’m thinking of using a garland around the bottom of the village. I’m looking for one today, and I’ll share more soon!

I hope you guys try this craft. It’s a beautiful one for the holidays. Let me know in the comments what you might add to yours!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

XOXO-Erin
