Let’s make it!

But before we do, did you see this interchangeable bench from yesterday’s live video? Girl! It is absolutely adorable! And we will have new releases for various seasons and occasions. Think of this as the new tiered tray! Click HERE to see it in the Lizzy and Erin Woodshop. And by the way, we have many other interchangeable projects for you to check out! Click HERE to see those.

Now on to our release for day two!

I began by painting both surfaces with white Apple Barrel paint. I had already prepared some pieces before going live. I painted “Hello Summer” and the watermelon seeds black with my Posca paint pen and the “Sweet Treats” in white. Later, I repainted the “Sweet Treats” in black and then used a white paint pen to highlight the letters. I painted the watermelon rind green.

I dabbed Pink Parfait over Berry Red for the pink watermelon. I placed all of the pieces on and set it aside to let everything dry.

I painted the popsicles pink, yellow, green and blue. I used Waverly Antique Wax (brown) with a little black paint mixed in to cover the frame and base of the ice creams. I dried the pieces with my heat tool and sanded them a little.

I added dots to the background of the ice creams and I used Stick Fast glue to adhere the pieces on both projects. I used a white and also green paint pen to make little dots and squiggles on the watermelon.

I added a beaded hanger for the watermelon, and we have two finished projects ready for summer! Let me know in the comments how you might complete yours! I appreciate all of your comments.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

XOXO-Erin
