Hey girl, hey! Do you remember plucking petals from a flower, one at a time, to determine if your beloved is sincere? Well, today we are crafting with this “Loves Me, Loves Me Not, Loves Me!” from our Woodshop. It’s already a Valentines Day favorite, but also perfect for all year long!
We host a Woodshop launch every month with lots of giveaways, and a BIG giveaway the Monday after launch week, so be sure to tune in to our videos for all the tips on how to get your name in the bucket.

Hobby Lobby: Antique Gold Rub N Buff
Walmart: Waverly Antique Wax
Stash: Napkins
Before we get started: I’m using the same technique for this craft as I did with the Standing Chicken and Pecking Chicken (both are still available in our Woodshop!) I used napkins, scrapbook paper and tissue paper on the chickens. They have their very own blog post, and you can check it out by clicking HERE.

Now on to our craft!
I painted the surface and the flower petals ahead of time using White Swan from Debi’s Design Diary DIY Paint and Milton’s Daughter. Next, I used my palette knife to smear on gray from Deco Earth paint, giving it a worn look.
TIP: Watch out for the six tiny dots! They are in the kit and might get lost in the process.

I separated my napkin layers down to one ply. With the petals and leaves on the sticky side of my tape, I painted Mod Podge on them and adhered the one ply napkins on each petal and leaf.

I used my Gator Microzip sander to sand the edges of the napkins from the wood pieces, then I used my Ranger Distress Oxide ink pad (Ground Espresso) to antique the edges of the brown ones.

I used Waverly Antique Wax and a makeup sponge to stain my letters, the frame and flower outline and then dried everything with my heat tool.

I used Antique Gold Rub N Buff for all of the brown pieces, including the frame.

I used my Stick Fast glue to glue the pieces on. There is an embossed line that shows you where everything goes. You can see the Rub N Buff on the closeup; it’s a little shiny!
TIP: Use clothespins to hold the frame to the surface until the glue is dry.

Oh my goodness, the picture doesn’t do her justice! She’s so pretty!
