Supplies:

Erin Elizabeth Inspired Woodshop: Growing Love

Milton’s Daughter: Debi’s Design Diary DIY paint: White Swan, Dark and Decrepit (black), Marquee (red)

Amazon: Rub N Buff, Stick Fast Glue, Folk Art paint: Metallic Silver, Deco Earth paint: Cool Gray Click here to check out my crafting essentials (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.)

Walmart: Waverly Antique Wax

Hobby Lobby: Fabric for bows

Let’s make it!

I painted the surface with White Swan, then used Cool Gray from Deco Earth paint and Metallic Silver from Folk Art to give the pails a galvanized look.

I painted the bases of the pails gray. I used the metallic silver and a little bit of black, tapping those colors on (with a makeup sponge) for texture. You can see in the image that the wood is engraved for perfect placement of the letters.

I painted the letters and hearts pink, and the outline of the hearts with a mix of the pink and Marquee (red), and stained the buttons with Waverly Antique Wax.

I used my palette knife to scrape some gray onto the surface and dried it with my heat tool. I stained the frame with Waverly Antique Wax and I put Antique Gold Rub N Buff on the frame, just to give it some shine.

I used the palette knife to scrape some gray on to the frame. Next, I began gluing the pieces together using Stick Fast glue. Now it’s time to add some buttons and bows!

The bows are just little squares of fabric. I put a line of hot glue down the middle and scrunched each one to form the bow, then used hot glue to add the bow to the surface. Next, I hot glued a button in the center of each bow.

And look how cute she turned out! Be sure to check out our Erin Elizabeth Inspired Woodshop because there’s lots more of our January Valentine release!
