Hey Boo Ghost Decor! Easy And Fun To Make

Hey girl, hey! Today we are making a cute ghost sign with a Dollar Tree mop! Check out the video below or follow along here to make one for yourself!

Supplies:

Dollar Tree: Mop, 12 X 12 black canvas, felt (for eyes)

Stash: Ric rac

Amazon: Scrabble letters, Bead threader Click here to check out my crafting essentials (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.)

Let’s make it!

To remove the mop strings, just pull them! They are looped through the black connector piece and they will pull out pretty easily.

To make the ghost: I hot glued a little bit of glue onto the surface, then placed strands of the mop down. The first strands had glue from “ear to ear”, if ghosts had ears! Eventually I needed to glue the inside and I put the glue about shoulder height. The idea is to have the no glue on the bottom, so free flowing.

Once the strands were glued on, I trimmed the bottom.

I added ric rac to the top and bottom, wrapping the ends around the back and hot gluing it in place.

I also gave our ghost eyes that I cut from some Dollar Tree felt, and added “hey boo” in Scrabble letters that I got from Amazon.

Now for the hanger!

I used my bead threader from Amazon (see it in the supplies list above) to thread my beads. I used an even number of beads so my project would hang evenly. All you have to do with the threader is string the beads on, put string or twine through the hole, and slide the beads off. Continue until you have the length you want. If you are using a pattern, be aware of what bead will join the last bead on the twine.

Next, I just tied knots in the ends of my twine and hot glued them onto the back, then secured them with craft sticks.

And here’s our cute little Hey Boo! You could add a bow or ribbon if you want! And note that the ghost is not straight on the canvas, so he looks like he’s just flying by.

I hope you’ll try this fun and easy project! Let me know in the comments how you might create your own. I appreciate each and every one of you!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

XOXO-Erin
