Hey y’all, hey! I saw something like this on Pinterest and wanted to recreate it. It’s a beautiful statement for the true meaning of Easter, and girl, I love it!

Check out the video below, or follow along here on the blog for all the steps!
Supplies:

Milton’s Daughter: Iron Orchid Designs Apothecary stamps
Dollar Tree: Beaded tray, craft sticks, moss, stamping block, small wood cubes
Michaels: Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink: Ground Espresso
Hobby Lobby: Metal Leaf
Amazon: Mod Podge Click here to check out my crafting essentials (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.)
Walmart: Waverly Antique Wax
Stash: Hymnal sheets
Other: Sticks from the yard
Let’s make it!
I used Ground Espresso Distress Oxide Ink that I got from Michaels and these stamps from Milton’s Daughter to stamp “He is Risen” on my craft stick. I lined the stamps onto my Dollar Tree block to make the words.

I made a “hill” shape with my hot glue to add moss at the bottom. I didn’t have much of the lighter green, so I used the brownish moss underneath.

I made the cross with craft sticks, and trimmed the ends just a little so they wouldn’t be so straight. Then I used my Waverly Antique Wax to paint the cross, making sure to paint the sides. Next, I dried it and then used Mod Podge to add gold leaf to the center cross.

I glued four small wood cubes to the main cross so it would be above the others, then painted the cubes with Waverly Antique Wax.

I used Mod Podge to add torn hymnal sheets onto the surface before gluing down the crosses.
TIP: My hymnal is thrifted and I use it for crafting. If you prefer an alternate, you can use pretty much any printed music sheets and just tear them up to make your background.

I hot glued the main cross to the surface, then glued the sticks together to form two crosses and hot glued them to the surface.

I love the beads, the crosses, the font on “He is Risen”, and the hymnal sheets! I just love all of this Easter project! You can make this a hanging sign or display it on an easel stand.

Let me know what you think of this easy project! I appreciate your comments so much!
