Haunted Carriage

Hey girl, hey! Today is super spooky! We are recreating a haunted carriage as seen on TikTok. The original creator is livinwithmb and her TikTok channel is Home Decor DIY’s. I’m so excited to make this, and most everything I’m using is from the Dollar Tree.

Check out the video link, or follow the steps here on the blog!

Supplies:

Dollar Tree: Skeleton, mini skeletons, party spider rings, Creepy Cloth, 2 black lace Halloween table runners, four metal paper towel holders, two 14″ wire wreath forms, floral foam, black zip ties, battery operated fairy lights, tea lights, any other items like pumpkins, bats, spiders or little skulls

Amazon: Rub n Buff, Xacto knife Click here to check out my crafting essentials (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.)

Stash: A piece of cardboard, black spray paint, moss

Let’s make it!

I didn’t have enough spray paint, so we’re using what we’ve got, y’all! I zip tied two of the paper towel holders together, then repeated that step. I spray painted them and the cardboard.

I cut little holes in the corners of the cardboard with my Xacto knife and attached the cardboard with zip ties (livinwithmb used hot glue to attach hers.)

I used Dollar Tree floral foam to create the seat for our skelton. I hot glued three blocks on the bottom, then one at one end, then covered the floral foam with black fabric scraps.

I didn’t have gray moss so I used the green that I had on hand. (Use what you have, girl, use what you have!) I also placed the string of lights around the seat.

Next, I covered it all with Creepy Cloth from Dollar Tree. We are ready now to test fit the top of our carriage!

TIP: Place the battery pack for the lights in an accessible place.

The test fit went perfect, so I added mini skeletons and some florals to my carriage. I didn’t have black roses or other flowers, so I just painted some yellow ones. I used Rub n Buff to give them a little gold color so they wouldn’t blend in with all the black.

I also used Rub n Buff on the skeleton to rough her up a bit.

I attached the wire wreaths by putting them together at the top with a zip tie, then zip tied them at the bottom on the sides.

I only had one table runner, but I think it works. You might want to have two, just to make it a bit fuller.

I hung a bat with twine, and hot glued spiders around the skeleton, then used a zip tie to add the fabric (Halloween table runner) to the top.

TIP: One of our friends suggested wrapping the lights around the wreath forms, and another suggested purple lights! Both genius ideas!

And we have a haunted carriage! Definitely add this one to your crafting list!

Appreciations go to the original creator livinwithmb at her TikTok channel Home Decor DIY’s! Let me know in the comments what you think! Will this go on your crafting list?

Thanks so much for stopping by,

XOXO-Erin
