Our most recent: Patchwork Pumpkin

Let’s make it!

Before we get started, can we just talk about this Bohemian Blue? If navy blue and teal had a little baby, it would be this absolutely gorgeous blue!

I painted the edges of my sign with Bohemian Blue, then dried it with my heat tool. Next, I creased the paper with my fingernail, trimmed the paper to size and then used Mod Podge to place it on my surface.

Here it is with the scrapbook paper

I cut petals like the red one below, and also like the long striped one. The longer one gets folded over just to make it fuller. You can see the difference in the third picture with the orange checked one.

I put a little hot glue on the bottom of the petals and pinched them, then hot glued them to the surface. I kept placing them on layers in the circle until it was full enough.

Once I had it as full as I wanted, I darkened the wood stem and wood words with Waverly Antique Wax and added some jute lattice ribbon underneath the petals. Then I glued the stem and the “Happy Fall” onto the surface.

TIP: You can add underneath the “petals” to make it fuller.

I think this turned out so pretty, y’all! Let me know in the comments what you might create with fabric strips. I’m thinking flowers for all seasons, fabric Christmas tree, the possibilities are endless!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

XOXO-Erin
