Hey girl, hey! Y’all have heard me mention my six-year old son Finn, right? Well, I love this project so much because he actually came up with the idea all on his own!
We were sitting around the firepit and Finn saw some wood and sticks that Mr. Erin had tossed in (we hadn’t started the fire yet), and he pulled the pieces out and showed me how he thought they could go together to make a snowman! His creative juices were flowing, and I couldn’t wait to make this for him!

Supplies:
Firepit wood
Amazon: Craft sticks, rusty star Click here to check out my crafting essentials (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.)
Walmart: Waverly Antique Wax
Dollar Tree: Fabric for scarf
Stash: Buttons, acrylic black and also white paint, green raffia (only because I haven’t gotten my Christmas supplies out yet).

I spritzed the wood with water, then painted on the Waverly Antique Wax.

I used just acrylic white paint over the waverly to give it a rustic look. I dried between coats.

For the hat, I cut some craft sticks to make the top of the hat, then hot glued one stick on the back of the hat to secure it. I placed one on the front for the brim, then painted it all black. (I actually painted it before I glued it, but I recommend painting after!)
I used a baby wipe to remove some of the paint while it was wet so our snowman’s hat wouldn’t look new!

I added a little scarf, just by tying and hot gluing, and put some button eyes on.

I added some green raffia to the hat, added a rusty star (from Amazon), then put some buttons on front.

Y’all, I just love this project because Finn designed it! I hope you enjoyed it also. Let me know in the comments what you think!
Thanks so much for stopping by,
XOXO-Erin

What did you use for the mouth? The rolled up raffia? Thanks in advance for your reply.
