Hey y’all, hey! This little egg turned out so elegant! It’s the paint, plus the Dollar Tree tile that makes this beautiful. I can’t wait to create it here for y’all!
Check out the video below, or follow along here on the blog for all the steps.

Supplies:

Dollar Tree: Wood egg shape, tile, greenery sprigs (The wall tile I found has a white background, but the ones with a silver background are just as pretty.)
Stash: Raffia, ribbon
Amazon: Sanding sponge Click here to check out my crafting essentials (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.)
Goodwill Outlet bins: Yellow bird
Milton’s Daughter: Debi’s Design Diary DIY Paint: Apothecary
Let’s make it!
First, I traced the shape onto the wall tile, then cut it out.
I then put a light amount of hot glue on the egg shape and placed the tile over it. Next, I sanded it down just a bit.
TIP: Too much hot glue will melt these tiles! Just put a light amount and press your tile onto the wood. That will be enough to hold it.

That Apothecary from Debi’s Design Diary DIY Paint is absolutely beautiful, and probably my favorite!
I used it to paint the sides and top of my entire project, then I sanded it down.

I wrapped my raffia around the egg and tied it on the front. Then I hot glued some greenery, a large raffia bow and some ribbon to create a full embellishment for the front.

Then I added a little bird I found in the Goodwill Outlet bins, and she’s done!

Let me know in the comments what you think of our little egg. I sure enjoyed crafting with you all today!
Thanks so much for stopping by,
XOXO-Erin
