Hey y’all, hey! Today we are crafting with egg cartons! That’s right, just plain ‘ole egg cartons that we’re going to turn into a fun bouquet of flowers. I glanced at a picture on Pinterest and didn’t actually take a deep dive, so we are winging it! Check out the video below or grab your egg carton and follow along here on the blog for all the steps.

Supplies:
Stash: Pipe cleaners, glass bottle, floral picks, paper doily
Milton’s Daughter: Debi’s Design Diary DIY paint:
Amazon: Xacto knife, Mod Podge, Deco Earth and Apple Barrel paints: shades of purple, pink and yellow, Click here to check out my crafting essentials (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.)
Let’s make it!
I cut the carton apart, trimming a few sections to make the base of five flowers. I flared them out a little so they would resemble blooms.
I used shades of pink, purple, blue and yellow from Deco Earth and Apple Barrel paints along with Mod Podge on a makeup sponge to paint them. I put Mod Podge on first, then paint, and dried them with my heat tool.

I used my Xacto knife to make holes in the bottoms so I could add the pipe cleaner “stems”. I hot glued a small piece of the lacy part of a paper doily and added a piece of a floral pick for the center. I’m not crazy about the bright green stems so I might change those. I just hot glued them on and put the flowers in the bottle.

This would be a fun craft for the kids! Let me know in the comments if you’ve crafted with egg cartons! I appreciate each and every one of you.
Thanks so much for stopping by,
XOXO-Erin
