Dollar Tree Tile Pumpkin

Hey y’all, hey! Today we are making this beautiful pumpkin with mostly Dollar Tree supplies! It’s a simple craft that you can create with just a few items.

Check out the video below for all the fun, or just follow along here on the blog!

Supplies:

Dollar Tree: Monogrammed pumpkin sign, wall tile, beads

Debi’s Design Diary DIY paint: White Swan, Apothecary

Amazon: Sanding sponge Click here to check out my crafting essentials (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.)

Hobby Lobby: Burlap “Thankful” tag

Stash: Burlap, plaid ribbon, raffia, greenery

Flowers are from our friend Doreen

Let’s make it!

First, I pulled the bow off the sign, then laid the tile over it.

I flipped it over and traced out the tile, then cut it out. (I left the backing on the tile and didn’t peel it off until I was ready to glue it onto the surface.)

I put hot glue around the edge.

TIP: There’s not much time for wiggle room, so be sure to place your tile where you want it.

TIP: If you have a low setting on your hot glue gun, you might want to use that. The tile can melt! But if you do, be sure to work a bit faster because it will dry quickly.

I painted the first coat with Debi’s Design Diary Apothecary, then I cleaned my brush, dipped it in water and painted on a very light coat of White Swan.

I dabbed the white off and then dried it with my heat tool. These tiles melt, so keep the heat moving!

Next, I sanded it down just enough to bring out some of the Apothecary and the silver of the tile.

There was a hole in the stem, so I just covered it by cutting a bit of burlap and hot gluing it on.

I used gingham ribbon and raffia to make a bow, then glued on the flowers and the tag. I added greenery later.

My go-to bead hanger method is this:

Hot glue each end of twine to the back of the sign, then top with a piece of craft stick. It adds extra security!

And here it is, ready to enjoy! I love this look for my fall decor!

Let me know in the comments below what you think of this craft! I hope you’ll make one also!

Thank you so much for stopping by,

XOXO-Erin
