Hey girl, hey! Today we are turning six plain Dollar Tree mirrors into an absolutely beautiful, vintage display! Check out the videos below, or follow along here for the steps.
Supplies:

Dollar Tree: Six mirrors, foam board (like a big poster board, but sturdy), Tumbling Tower Game blocks (like little Jenga blocks), craft sticks
Amazon: Xacto knife, Stick Fast glue, Waverly Antique Wax Click here to check out my crafting essentials (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.)
Milton’s Daughter: Iron Orchid Designs transfers: Wild Bloemen, Desperado
Grocery store: Dawn Powerwash
Ace hardware store: Ace Metallic Silver spray paint: Mirrored Silver
Let’s make it!
I spritzed the mirrors with Dawn Powerwash and while they were still wet, I sprayed the with the metallic silver spray paint and then let them all dry. Once dry, I spritzed them with water and wiped them off to remove the Dawn Powerwash. I watered down some Waverly Antique Wax and painted a light coat over them to add some vintage / distressed look.

This is what we’re going for, y’all!

I am going to glue the mirrors into two rows of three each. I want words along the top three mirrors, so I’m using the Desperado IOD transfers with script.

Here’s how the script turned out:

For the floral transfers: I want them to go over the edge, so I smooth the transfer onto the mirror (the transfers are on slightly sticky paper, so they will adhere temporarily for positioning.) I used my fingernail to crease the image into and over the edge to create the effect.

These transfers are so easy, y’all! They come with a little plastic tool that you use to just rub and press the image onto the surface, then lift up the paper and it’s on!

Here’s the plan: florals on the bottom, words on the top, use foam board as a backing and glue them to it.
So I went out of town for a crafting retreat, and came back home to finish! I made the second video in my craft room and finished this fun project:

I used my hot glue gun to attach the mirrors together. You’ll see extra “Jenga” blocks on the top and bottom of each mirror in this image, but you really just need them in the middle. The idea is to get the mirrors to sit flat against the foam board.
Once all of the mirrors were glued, I added craft sticks to the center (they are covering the blocks- you can see that in the third image below) and traced out the area on the foam board where I’ll adhere them, then cut the board with my Xacto knife.

This is the row I did without the extra blocks.

I hot glued them together onto the foam board and added a simple hanger with hot glue; just strands of twine covered on the ends with a piece of craft stick.

And y’all. I just love how this turned out! It’s absolutely beautiful!

Let me know in the comments what you think of this craft. It is a fun technique and I hope you’ll give it a try!
Thanks so much for stopping by,
