Let’s make it!
But how about meeting our new chickens before we get to crafting? They literally FLEW here because our friend Ms. Theresa carried their eggs on an airplane and brought them to us! She also taught us how to hatch them and now we have five babies! The two tiny ones are called kikiriki (kiki riki) chickens, and they are so little! I’m pretty sure the gray biggun is a rooster. Look at those eyes, he is just staring us down and he has some attitude! And check out the feathery, fluffy feet on the second one, she’s a silkie.

Now for the crafting!
I always put painters tape down (sticky side up) to hold my small pieces for painting. It’s so much easier! I used a makeup sponge to apply Deco Earth Maritime Blue paint on these.

I mixed Sky Blue from Apple Barrel paint with some White Swan from Milton’s Daughter to get a baby blue for the “Warm Winter Wishes” background, and I used White Swan for the white pieces. I dried everything with my heat tool and then dry brushed all of the pieces with White Swan.

I used Stick Fast glue to adhere the pieces onto the surfaces. I get mine from Amazon and I recommend the thick kind. Be sure to watch the price versus the amount in the bottle.
I sanded the pieces down just a little with a sanding sponge. Next, I painted the skate blades gray, but they needed some shine so I used a Pentart silver glitter pen from Milton’s Daughter. I just dabbed on the glitter and filled it in the spaces with my finger. I also added it to the top of the mittens. You can see the difference in the images below.

Here’s a close up of how the dry brush looks.

Here it is all finished:

We also have the Cocoa Bar Bench Set, and y’all need to use your imagination here because this one has a marshmallow garland instead of the mittens. It is at the bottom of the images… I’ll just string the marshmallows on twine and hang them from the top. I had to finish these projects so we can get a delivery here at the Lizzy and Erin Woodshop!

Here they are all finished!
Let me know in the comments: are you team “Baby it’s Cold Outside” or team “Cup of Cheer”? I appreciate each and every one of you.
Thanks so much for stopping by,
XOXO-Erin
