Hey girl, hey! Y’all know I love to create decor with Dollar Tree finds, and today it’s all about Christmas! Most everything is from Dollar Tree, so check out the videos below (there are two due to some connection issues) or follow along right here so you can create your own.

Supplies:

Dollar Tree: Sign, gingham balls, greenery, polka dot canvas bags, one snowflake, beads
Milton’s Daughter: Letterpress stamps and ink
Debi’s Design Diary DIY paint: White Swan
Stash: Wood snowflakes (one came from Dollar Tree, the others from happy mail!), raffia, burlap
Let’s make it!
We are going to use this sign from Dollar Tree. I love the farmhouse look with black plaid, and later on you’ll see I decided to paint over the letters. Those polka dot canvas bags are from the Dollar Tree party section and they had some in navy blue stripes also.

First, I stuffed my bags with paper, just to give them some filling, then added the florals.
Our friend Becca sent me this! It’s called a Surebonder Glue Skillet, and I was so excited to try it out. The little pellets are called Surebonder Skillet Glue Cube Pellets.
It heated up and melted the pellets super fast! I just dipped the stems into it, and added them to the little bags. So easy!
TIP: The rim gets very hot, so be careful and don’t put anything next to it!

I used my IOD stamps from Milton’s Daughter (linked above), to make little muslin tags that say “merry and bright”. I glued the muslin to pieces of burlap (I frayed the edges of the burlap), and then glued the words to the bags.

Our friends (on my live video) said I needed THREE of the balls in each bag, so I added one each. I do like it better with three!

By the way, these are so cute with just one bag on a Dollar Tree burlap canvas or glued to one of the Dollar Tree cathedral windows!

Here’s where I decided to paint the surface, but just where the letters are. I used Debi’s Design Diary DIY Paint in White Swan. I also painted the one snowflake that had a natural wood finish, then dried both with my heat tool. You can set yours aside to dry if you prefer.

I hot glued the bags onto the surface, then added three snowflakes. I also added some raffia at the top of each bag.

For the hanger, I used beads on twine, with knots on each end. I hot glued the ends to the back of my surface, then hot glued a piece of a craft stick for extra security.

I sure had fun making this, y’all! I hope you enjoyed it as well. Let me know in the comments what you think, I appreciate all of your comments!
Thanks so much for stopping by,
XOXO-Erin
