Bunny Bait Carrots Bag

Hey y’all, hey! I’m loving the bunny crafts this year! These carrots are just begging to be in the bunny bait bag. And though some of my supplies are from my stash (bought a while back), you can definitely find similar items now!

By the way, if you’re interested in Diamond Art, check out the video! I shared my recent projects toward the end!

Supplies:

Amazon: Bead threader, Sanding sponge Click here to check out my crafting essentials (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.)

Milton’s Daughter: Debi’s Design Diary DIY Paint: White Swan

Dollar Tree: Moss, wood beads, sign (from 2022, but any sign will do! We are going to paint over it!)

Target: Polka dot carrots (I bought these a couple of years ago from the dollar spot)

Michaels Grab Bag: Orange carrot

Stash: Burlap (for the bag), muslin (tag), raffia, twine

Y’all, Dollar Tree has these now, and they are super cute!

I stamped my tag with “Bunny Bait” beforehand. Just use some muslin and add whatever fabric or scrapbook paper you want behind it.

First, I sanded my Dollar Tree sign, and y’all, I really like the distressed look the sanding gave it! But I’m sticking to the plan and I gave it two coats of Debi’s Design Diary White Swan, and dried it in between the coats with my heat tool.

I made my shiplap with a small paintbrush and some black paint. I dried it with my heat tool, then sanded it a bit too much. It’s all good! Shiplap isn’t perfect, right?

I hot glued the carrots together, then added moss to the surface. I used some paper to give the bag some fullness, and then added the carrots with hot glue.

For the bag, I just folded the edges of my burlap and hot glued the three sides. Then I added the bag to the surface. I wanted the bag to taper in a bit at the top so the shiplap would be visible on either side.

Once I got the bag glued on, I added a bit more moss to the top.

I added a raffia and twine bow to the front, and then hot glued the tag just below it. I also wrapped raffia around the bag, tying it on the back.

I made a bead hanger using my bead threader (linked in supply list above). You just put beads on the threader, put a knot on the end of your twine, then lace it through the “eye” of the threader. Then just pull the beads off onto the twine, and pull the free twine through the beads that are now strung. Repeat until you have the length of hanger you want.

And here’s our finished Bunny Bait bag! I think it’s so stinkin’ cute! Let me know in the comments below what you think! I appreciate each and every one of you.

Oh, and did y’all see this on our blog? It was so much fun… the video link is also there. Just click here or on the image to see all the details!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

XOXO-Erin
