Let’s make it!
I bought those first surfaces recently, but that black one? December 2022. I know y’all, I know! BUT I found the receipt in the bag and I only spent just over six dollars that day, so there’s that, right?

I painted the black one with White Swan from Debi’s Design Diary.
Our friend Gina Forbes sent the greenish blue striped napkins to me a while back and I’m going to cover my bunny silhouettes with them. These are three-ply napkins, so I just separated them down to the top layer.
I painted the bunnies with White Swan, then put Mod Podge on them to adhere the napkins.

I used a sanding sponge to sand off the edges and an emery board for the nooks and crannies. Next, I added a twine bow, and that covered the neck where the napkin pieces meet.
I repeated these steps for all three silhouette bunnies.

TIP: If you want them to stand out against your surface, paint the edges before gluing your bunny on. Water down your “highlighting” paint (mine was Waverly Antique Wax) and dab it off with a paper towel to achieve a shadow effect.

Then I moved the bead hanger of the black one to the end since I used a tall bunny on that one.
TIP: Use hot glue over your twine and secure the ends with pieces of craft sticks.

Let’s do the Bunny Shelf Sitters now!
I painted the tails (and the sides of the tails) with White Swan and stained the top layer of each bunny with Waverly Antique Wax. I sanded the tails down just a little. Next, I dried them with my heat tool, but you can set yours aside to dry.
I used DAP Rapid Fuse to attach the top layer to the bottom layer and then used clothespins to hold them together while the glue set. (It sets fast, y’all!)

Next, I hot glued moss onto the bunnies.
TIP: Use a craft stick or spatula to press the moss into the glue. A moss sheet works well, but use what you’ve got, girl! Our friends suggested using spray adhesive or hair spray over the moss. That’s a great idea!
Judie (she’s my STAR assistant) suggested filling your bunny with little somethings like little eggs or hearts and using shrink wrap to seal them in, making them shakers. That would be so cute! (My friends on the live also suggested using buttons or resin.)

And we have some adorable bunnies for spring and Easter!

Which set of bunnies are your favorite? Let me know in the comments! I appreciate every one of you.
Thanks so much for stopping by,
