April / May 2026 Woodshop Launch: Home, Liberty and Fireworks!

Hey y’all, hey! Today we are crafting with two July 4 kits and another you can use all year! We are using our Interchangeable Window Base for the festive Patriotic Set, and the Rustic Interchangeable Frame for the “Home” and “Liberty” kits.

Interchangeables mean that you can swap out your pieces for various holidays and occasions using only one base! Several of our designs will work with your tiered tray too! We have a bunch to choose from, so check them out by clicking HERE.

Check out the video below or follow along here on the blog for all the steps!

Supplies:

Erin Elizabeth Inspired Woodshop: Sweet Land of Liberty Frame Insert, Interchangeable Window Patriotic Set, Rustic Interchangeable Frame, and the Interchangeable Window Base

Milton’s Daughter: Debi’s Design Diary DIY paint: White Swan

Walmart: Waverly Antique Wax

Amazon: Stick Fast glue, Deco Earth paint Click here to check out my crafting essentials (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.)

Let’s make it!

I started by painting the base of the Home is Where the Heart is Frame Insert with black, and used the sticky side of my painters tape to hold small pieces for painting. I painted the words Home and heart with White Swan and the other letters with green from Deco Earth, then pink for the hearts. I used my sanding block to sand down the black a little.

For the Sweet Land of Liberty Frame Insert, I painted the base blue and darkened it with a light coat of Waverly Antique Wax. I used red, white and light blue for the popsicle, red and white for the stars and Waverly for the stick. I added dots with my paint pens.

Next up: the Interchangeable Window Patriotic Set! I used the same red, white and blue colors along with the Waverly Antique Wax to paint all the pieces. I dried everything and sanded them down just a little. I glued each project’s pieces and we’re done!

You can enjoy some festive designs to finish and display! Just visit our Woodshop for all the things! Let me know in the comments what your favorite kit is! I appreciate each and every one of you.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

XOXO-Erin
