April 2025 Woodshop Launch: Pucker Up and Summer Flower Pots!

Hey girl, hey! It’s wrap-up day of the April 2025 Lizzy and Erin Woodshop launch! These as well as MANY designs are available in the Woodshop, so be sure to check it out! Click HERE to see the April launch. We have several giveaways on launch week, so be sure to follow us on Facebook!

We are making a cute “Pucker Up” lemon-themed cutting board sign that is sure to make everyone smile! We are also making the 3 Panel Folding Summer Flower Pots, just right for spring and summer. Check out the video below, or follow along here for all the steps! And you can click on the images below to go straight to the items.

(By the way: The video and some of the images are backwards because Facebook won’t allow us to flip the camera! It’s ok, I’m ok, we are all ok!)

Supplies:

Lizzy and Erin Woodshop: Pucker Up Cutting Board sign, 3 Panel Folding Summer Flower Pots

Amazon: Xacto knife, Ranger Distress Oxide ink: Deco Earth paint: Apricot Blush, Sanding sponge, Waverly Antique Wax, Waverly White, Click here to check out my crafting essentials (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.)

Let’s make it!

I prepared some of the projects by painting the elements before the live video because we are doing two projects today!

I spritzed the wood with water to make the brown paint go on lighter than full strength, then painted the pieces with Waverly Antique Wax. I used Waverly White to drybrush the frames and the cutting board, then sanded them down just a bit.

I used Deco Earth’s Apricot Blush for the flowers on the lemons and one coat of Waverly White for the letters. Small pieces like the letters are easy to paint if you put them on the sticky side of masking tape. I use my heat tool to dry the pieces once everything is painted.

I dry brushed the lemons and greenery with white to tone down the color just a smidge.

I painted the pitchers white and just stained the edges with Ground Espresso from Ranger Distress Oxide ink, then whitewashed the flowers. I used my sanding sponge to sand down the bases just a bit.

I used my Xacto knife to better enhance the lines of the flower pots background, and Stick Fast glue to adhere the pieces together. I added the little circle pieces that hold the hooks onto the frames, glued the pieces onto the cutting board, added a blue and white gingham bow and we have two beautiful projects!

Let me know in the comments which one is your favorite today! I appreciate each and every one of you!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

XOXO-Erin
