April 2025 Woodshop Launch: Hello Sunshine!

Hey y’all, hey! We are on day TWO of our April 2025 Woodshop Launch! Today we are whippin’ up some sunshine with a bright lemon-themed door hanger and also an insert for our Toolbox! I just love a Woodshop launch, and we release new designs every month. AND we have giveaways during the launch week! Be sure to check out our videos on Facebook to get in on the fun.

Check out the video below, click on the links to see the Woodshop, and you can also follow along here on the blog to make your own sunshine!

Supplies:

Lizzy and Erin Woodshop: Hello Sunshine Door Hanger and Hello Sunshine Toolbox Insert

Amazon: Toolie Art paint pen, Xacto knife, sanding sponge, Waverly white paint, Deco Earth paint: yellow, light green Click here to check out my crafting essentials (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.)

Milton’s Daughter: Debi’s Design Diary DIY Paint: Bohemian Blue

The toolbox that holds the interchangeable inserts can be seen by clicking HERE.

Here are some other interchangeables you can use for your Toolbox from the Lizzy and Erin Woodshop! Click HERE to see them all!

Let’s make it!

I started out by placing all of the letters and small pieces on the sticky side of a strip of masking tape so I could paint them. I used two coats of Deco Earth’s yellow and green (linked above on Amazon), and Debi’s Design Diary DIY Paint in Bohemian Blue. (The blue looks dark when you first paint it on, but it dries lighter.) I used Waverly white for the backgrounds. Once everything was painted, I sanded all of the pieces down just a bit.

Next, I used my Xacto knife to enhance the lines on the bases that are already etched in the wood. I used Stick Fast glue to adhere all of the pieces to the bases. Everything is etched, so it’s super easy to place them!

I glued everything on with Stick Fast glue (in Amazon link above) and used my Toolie Art white paint pen to add accents to the lemons.

And here we are! A ray of sunshine! Let me know in the comments what colors you might use on the “Hello Sunshine” words! I appreciate each and every comment.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

XOXO-Erin
