Hey y’all, hey! July is almost here, so it’s time to make an Americana craft!
This one is super easy and fun to create. Check out the video below or just follow along here on the blog for all the steps!

Supplies:

Dollar Tree: Wood stems, Easter carrot patch sign
Milton’s Daughter: Debi’s Design Diary DIY paint: White Linen, Marquee (red), Hey Sailor Blue
Amazon: Star stencils Click here to check out my crafting essentials (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.)
Hobby Lobby: Ranger Ground Espresso ink
Let’s make it!
I started out with this cute sign from Dollar Tree.
TIP: Place your wood stumps in the order that they fit well and mark them so you’ll know how to place them back on. You can put a little paint dab on top or number the bottom.

I used my heat tool to remove the little sign in the middle and also the frame edges, then tore the paper from the surface.

I painted the surface with Hey Sailor blue, then added the frame edges back with hot glue.

Next, I painted the wood pieces with red, white and blue.

Then I stenciled on the stars.

I dried the paint with my heat tool, then sanded just a few and glued them on to the surface.

Then I dabbed my Ranger Ground Espresso ink pad onto the edges to create a more rustic look.

And that’s it! This is a fun and easy craft, and even the kids can help! Our friends suggested using wine corks in place of the stumps, which is a fun idea!

I hope you enjoyed this craft as much as I did! Let me know in the comments how you might display your own Americana craft!
Thanks so much for stopping by,
XOXO-Erin
