Let’s make it!
The base of our project are these pumpkins from the Lizzy and Erin Woodshop, July 2024 release! Each pumpkin has three interlocking pieces (makes them easy to store after the season), and there are three sizes. Check them out by clicking here!

They arrive packaged like this, ready to craft!
I used Dollar Tree self-adhesive tiles, and you’ll need six; one for each side of your pumpkin panel.
I just cut my panels from the tiles (regular scissors are fine), and made sure the slots in the center would work well once they are put together. Sometimes you’ll need to give the slot a trimmy-trim!
TIP: You might be able to use the backing sheet (you can see the pattern on it).

I used Mod Podge to glue the tiles onto the wood. You might try it without, but you want your tile to stay on, so if you do try glue just keep in mind that hot glue can melt the tile and it also adds bulk.
I used my heat tool to dry them, being careful not to melt the tile!

Once I placed the tiles, I used my Gator Microzip Sander (see Amazon link in supply list) to sand the edges down. If you cut more exact, you won’t need to sand!
Next, I painted two coats onto the panels with Debi’s Design Diary Apothecary.

I painted my stem with Waverly Antique Wax (brown), then sanded the pieces just enough to bring back some of the texture.

I put the pieces together and then dry brushed some White Swan onto my pieces. You can do this before putting the pumpkin together.
TIP: Mine got a bit snug when putting it together. All I had to do was trim the inside a bit more with my Xacto knife. Don’t glue them together if you want an easier storage after the season.

I added a raffia bow, and this one is finished! I also finished the other two with the same techniques! Be sure to check out our Lizzy and Erin Woodshop to see the complete July 2024 release.
You can add a beaded or ribbon edge to yours, the options are almost endless!

Let me know in the comments how you might finish yours! I appreciate each and every one of you.
Thanks for stopping by,
XOXO-Erin
