Hey y’all, hey! It’s Woodshop launch week, which is always fun and creative, no matter your skill level! Today we are crafting with the Button Carrot Wall Art and the Easter Frame Insert interchangeable. The bunny insert goes with THIS frame, and you can change it from season to season or occasion.
Check out the video below, or follow along here on the blog for all the steps!
Supplies:
Erin Elizabeth Inspired Woodshop: Button Carrot Wall Art, Easter Frame Insert Interchangeable
Milton’s Daughter: Debi’s Design Diary DIY paint: Letterpress IOD stamps
Amazon: Ranger Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink, Stick Fast (thick) glue, Apple Barrel: White, Summer Sky. Deco Earth paints: Coastal Blue, Sage Shadow (green), pink Click here to check out my crafting essentials (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.)
Stash: Raffia, fabric strip
Let’s make it!
I started out with the Button Carrot kit by putting the wood buttons on the sticky side of painters tape, making them easier to paint. I did a few different shades of orange and also of green to make the buttons “pop” and I actually just added some white to the green to get the lighter shades. I painted the surface white with Apple Barrel paint, using makeup sponges. You can see on the carrot surface there is etching on the wood so you’ll know where to put pieces.
I used Deco Earth Sage Shadow (green) to smear onto the surface with my palette knife, then dried it with my heat tool. I added the buttons with Stick Fast glue. You’ll have buttons left over for another project. I used my Ranger Ground Espresso ink pad around the edges to add an antique element.
I added a bit of raffia, a strip of fabric for the bow and glued a button on top and I used Letterpress stamps from IOD and Milton’s Daughter to stamp “Bunny Bait” on the surface.

Now for the Easter Frame Insert! If you’re new to the Erin Elizabeth Inspired Woodshop, you may not know about our Interchangeables. Click HERE to see the many kits we offer that feature various seasons, holidays and occasions. This particular kit is designed to use with THIS frame.
I mixed Summer Sky from Apple Barrel and Coastal Blue from Deco Earth paints together for the surface, then put the small pieces on tape. I painted the ears and flower pink, letters blue and the tag purple. I used pink for the cheeks and a paint marker for the dots on the surface.

I glued the pieces on with Stick Fast and I decided not to use the flower from the kit, so I made a raffia bow and added a button with hot glue, then put it in the interchangeable frame.
The heart is our Valentine’s Frame insert from last month, and you can click HERE to see it. I just popped it out of the interchangeable frame and added the bunny. These kits make it so easy to change decor!

Here are the two projects from today along with the Valentines Day heart. These were so much fun!
